	Royal Astronomical Society of Canada Astronomy Day	Victoria Centre is part of the national Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, which is dedicated to bringing information about astronomy to the general public.

Victoria Centre stages a special event every year to celebrate International Astronomy Day - usually in May of each year.

The program usually looks like this:

Program 10am - 4pm

	Ask an Astronomer booth
	Telescope viewing
	Solar observing
	Telescope making
	Astro kids activities
	Walk among the planets
	Tour the historic Plaskett Telescope

Observing 7-11pm (weather permitting)

	Observe through amateur telescopes setup in the parking lot
	Viewing tours using the 72" Plaskett Telescope
